About The Position

The Machine Operator works for Hanline Frozen Foods, a food manufacturing, logistics, and supply chain organization based in Romulus, Michigan. The role involves setting up and operating production machinery, making adjustments to maintain performance and production speed, and performing routine light maintenance. The operator processes and packages frozen food in accordance with USDA, FDA, BRC, and company quality and food safety standards, while following safety, sanitation, and production procedures. This position requires working efficiently and collaboratively in a fast-paced production environment and maintaining reliable attendance, arriving on time and staying for the entire scheduled shift. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with overtime and weekends as needed. Overtime is paid at time and a half. The work takes place in refrigerated conditions of 35–40 degrees and may involve factory and warehouse environments. Starting pay is $17 per hour, with annual raises.

Requirements

Ability to work safely and efficiently in a refrigerated environment of 35–40 degrees.
Strong attention to detail.
Excellent attendance and punctuality.
Ability to work at least 40 hours per week.
Ability and willingness to work required overtime and occasional weekends.
Ability to work safely and effectively in factory, warehouse, and refrigerated environments.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced production setting.

Responsibilities

Set up production machinery before each shift.
Operate assigned machinery and make adjustments as needed to maintain optimal performance and production speed.
Perform routine light maintenance and promptly report equipment issues.
Package and process frozen food according to USDA, FDA, BRC, and company quality and food safety standards.
Follow safety, sanitation, and production procedures.
Work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Maintain regular and reliable attendance, arrive on time, and remain for the entire scheduled shift.
