About The Position

Valor Environmental is hiring a full-time Machine Operator/Crew Leader for construction and landscaping work in Orlando, Florida. The role leads an Environmental Field Service crew when a Field Quality Manager is unavailable, performs erosion-control installation and removal, operates company machinery, and supports safe jobsite operations. The position pays $15.00–$17.00 per hour, with overtime, and offers year-round work.

Requirements

Previous construction or landscaping leadership experience.
Valid driver's license.
Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather.
Ability to work weekends and extended hours as needed.
Ability to lift, pull, and push materials and equipment to complete assigned tasks.
Ability to frequently lift 50 pounds during the workday.

Responsibilities

Lead a crew of Environmental Field Service Specialists when a Field Quality Manager is out.
Install and remove silt fence.
Install protection to storm inlets.
Use heavy-duty hand tools such as sledgehammers and shovels.
Install erosion-control measures (BMPs) as prescribed by reporting agencies.
Monitor the jobsite for safety hazards and correct employees working unsafely.
Operate company machinery.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
