2nd Shift Machine Operator

About The Position

Standex International is seeking a Machine Operator for its second shift. The role may involve multiple parts of the production process, including assembly, insulating materials with taping or winding equipment, and processing materials for production use. A Level 1 Operator uses electronic and printed documentation to assemble products and sets up and operates equipment used in manufacturing. The shift runs from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM, Monday through Thursday.

Requirements

High school education or equivalent experience.
Relevant experience in a manufacturing environment.
Basic math and reading skills.
Basic computer skills.

Nice To Haves

Technical diploma, trade school certification, or coursework in manufacturing, mechanics, or a related field.
At least 2 years of experience operating automated or semi-automated machinery.
Experience with preventive maintenance or machinery troubleshooting.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, or standard operating procedures.

Responsibilities

Follow company safety, quality, and business policies and procedures, and maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
Use a tablet computer to generate production documentation for the operation being performed.
Perform work according to work instructions, bills of material, and build specifications for the operator's trained area.
Set up and properly operate equipment used in the operator's trained area.
Perform required setup, self, and progressive inspections in trained areas.
Document required information on travelers, logs, reports, and Red Tags.
Maintain work-area tools and equipment by using and storing them properly, performing basic preventive maintenance activities as required, and requesting service when necessary.
Perform work in trained areas to acceptable quality and productivity levels.
Cross-train on multiple machines and switch machines as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
