Summary: Based in Mooresville, NC, the S3P Operator, under the direct supervision of the Plant
Manager, performs essential job functions related to the daily operations of stainless steel surface hardening (Kolsterising®) and the processing of customer parts according to written requirements and specifications, while also assisting other employees as needed.

Requirements

• This position must satisfy ITAR compliance requirements; candidates must be U.S. Citizens or Permanent Resident Card Holders.
• Education – High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum six months to one year of experience in heat treating.
• Must have working knowledge of metallurgy, temperatures, etc.
• May be required to work overtime or any shift, including weekends.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain forklift operation certification.
• Must demonstrate the ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language.
• Knowledge and hands-on experience of computer applications, including Microsoft Office and databases, is required.

Responsibilities

• Assists with operations, control, and monitoring of heat treating and related equipment as required and as written in procedures on shop traveler and/or customer paperwork
• Prepares work for processing; loads and unloads furnaces, bins, fixtures, baskets, etc.
• Brings any irregularity to the Lead Person for management
• Promotes safety and good housekeeping practices
• Must work in a manner consistent with the EMS
• Performs other tasks as assigned or dictated by position
• Must have the ability to report for work on time, follow directions, interact effectively with co-workers, understand and follow rules and procedures, and accept constructive criticism
