About The Position

Ascend Staffing is hiring a Machine Operator for a hands-on production role in Romeoville, Illinois, paying $22.94 per hour. The operator will run production machinery, monitor equipment performance, and help move materials through the manufacturing process. Daily tasks may include setting up machines, feeding materials, inspecting finished products, and reporting equipment issues. The workplace is fast-paced and team-oriented, with an emphasis on safety, accuracy, consistency, and meeting production standards.

The role is temp to hire. The scheduled shift is 3:30 p.m. to 12:00 a.m.; training will take place on first shift for one month before transitioning to the scheduled shift. The anticipated start date is ASAP. The employer offers weekly pay, direct deposit and debit card payment options, insurance coverage, and staffing-team support throughout the assignment. Applicants must be legally eligible to work in the United States and may be required to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Requirements

• Experience operating or supporting industrial production machinery.
• Familiarity with RW80 welders, RW80 corrugators, braiders, 460 Machine, RF67 equipment, or Composite Bulk Machines.
• Ability to follow machine operating procedures, work instructions, and safety practices.
• Ability to monitor machine performance and identify quality or equipment issues.
• Dependable attendance and willingness to work in a fast-paced production environment.
• Must be legally eligible to work in the United States.
• May be required to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Nice To Haves

• Press machine experience.
• Experience working first or second shift in a production setting.
• Experience performing basic machine setup, changeover, or adjustments.
• Strong attention to detail when inspecting materials or finished products.
