About The Position

Millat Industries, a family-owned manufacturing company with 60 years of success, is seeking a Machine Operator for their 3rd shift in the production department. This role is ideal for a detail-driven individual looking to contribute to a stable, innovative, and rapidly growing precision machining company. The position starts through a staffing agency for the first 90 days.

Requirements

High school graduate/GED.
Must be dependable and flexible with a good attendance record.
Must be detailed oriented and have good work ethic.
Must be able to stand, walk, push, pull, reach overhead, and bend to the floor.
Must be able to exert between 10 and 50 pounds on a frequent basis.
Must always adhere to Company safety policies.

Nice To Haves

Previous manufacturing experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

Learn industrial math, print reading, and machining theory related to the assigned department.
Acquire skills related to the assigned department under the guidance of a Trainer or Team Leader.
Load raw material into the machine and unload finished product from the machine.
Perform basic deburring on product.
Use and read Micrometers and Calipers.
Learn the basics of safety, sawing, drilling, materials, turning, and speeds and feeds.
Learn the safe operation of, and receive practical experience on, lathes and milling machines within the assigned department.
Follow the sequence of operations on the router.
Communicate with co-workers and team leaders to receive instructions and coordinate activities.
