About The Position

The Machine Operator position is responsible for consistently and safely operating machines at or above standard levels of operation, including waste, quality, efficiency, and utilization. This role involves troubleshooting and correcting machine-related problems through proper adjustments, providing innovative solutions for production issues, and supporting less experienced personnel. The operator will also complete end-of-shift paperwork, account for crewing time, machine time, and production quantities, and inspect for defective products, making necessary machine adjustments. Adherence to housekeeping, standard work, and safety guidelines is essential. The role requires mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and effective communication abilities.

Requirements

• Minimum of one year manufacturing or industrial experience working with production equipment
• Proven mechanical ability
• Mechanical aptitude
• Demonstrated problem solving skills
• Effective communication skills - written and verbal

• Proficient in Equipment Troubleshooting
• Proficient in CNC Machine Setup & Changeover
• Proficient in Machine Setups for Production Runs

Responsibilities

• Consistently and safely operates machines at or above standard levels of operation including waste, quality, efficiency and utilization
• Trouble shoot, identify and correct machine related problems through proper adjustments to various parts of the machine
• Provide innovative solutions for production issues
• Provides support and guidance to less experienced personnel
• Completes appropriate end of shift paperwork, accounting for crewing time, machine time, and production quantities
• Able to inspect and recognize defective product and make machine adjustments to correct cause of defects
• Observes all housekeeping, standard work and safety guidelines
• Performs other duties as assigned
