Machine Operator for Granite
About The Position
The Machine Operator will be responsible for fabricating edges, sides, corner radius, angles, and sink cutouts using the tools required in the process. This role involves meeting daily productivity goals, verifying the quality of finished workpieces, and ensuring all work areas are cleaned and organized. The position requires wearing all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and adhering to safety protocols. This job requires intermittent periods of continuous physical exertion, such as walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting material or equipment, some of which may be heavy or awkward. In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification (Form I-9) upon hire. Completion of a background check and/or drug screening may be required as a condition of employment, in accordance with local laws and client requirements.
Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry up to 40lbs.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in fabricating marble, granite, and Quartz
- Experience in Construction, Industrial, and Manufacturing fields
- Bilingual is a plus!
- Experience operating a forklift
- Blueprint reading is a plus
- CAD, Auto CAD
- Spanish Speaking a plus
Responsibilities
- Fabricate edges, sides, corner radius, angles, and sink cutouts using the tools required in the process.
- Verify all pieces were checked, fabricated, and returned to the same cart number and checked in the tracking sheet as complete.
- Meet daily productivity goals.
- Verify the quality of finished workpieces by inspecting, comparing to templates, and measuring their dimensions.
- Wear all Personal Protective Equipment (safety glasses, earplugs, waterproof face mask, steel-toe boots).
- Assure all work areas are cleaned and organized.
