About The Position

This role involves operating polishing equipment to achieve the desired polish and luster on parts and products. The position requires attention to detail in polishing materials, preparing surfaces, and ensuring dimensional accuracy. The employee will work in a collaborative environment, maintain a clean workspace, and adhere to all safety procedures and the use of personal protective equipment.

Requirements

Basic knowledge in math (adding, subtracting, measurements, etc).
Basic knowledge of maintenance.
Ability to lift and carry up to 40lbs.
High School Diploma/GED.
Must complete the required employment eligibility verification (Form I-9) upon hire.
Must be able to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

Operating polishing equipment to obtain the desired polish and luster on parts and products.
Polish material/parts to correct defects or to prepare surfaces for further finishing, using hand and power tools.
Apply pressure to polish, glaze, and buff while making sure dimensions stay the same.
Verify quality of finished workpieces by inspecting, comparing templates, measuring dimensions, and marking any defects for possible rework.
Ensure proper use of equipment.
Work in a collaborative environment by helping coworkers in other stations if needed.
Maintain a clean station.
Responsible for wearing all personal protective equipment (safety glasses, earplugs, waterproof gear, face mask, etc.).
Ensure safety procedures are followed.
Other duties as assigned.
