About The Position
To safely and accurately operate and maintain rebar fabrication and material handling equipment in a team environment. The common goal is to service our customers while maximizing the utilization of materials.
Requirements
- Make mathematical calculations.
- Communicate verbally with customers and other coworkers.
- Fill in for other positions as needed.
- Pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- Confirm eligibility to legally work in the US via E-Verify.
Nice To Haves
- GED or high school diploma optional.
- Previous rebar warehouse preferred.
Responsibilities
- Efficient operation of the rebar equipment (Bender, Shear, Spiral, Cranes, Bandsaw) by challenging the capabilities of the machine and maximizing the utilization of material producing cost effective services.
- Constantly follow all safety policies and standard operating procedures at all times.
- Maintain machines by performing preventative maintenance as needed.
- Assure maximum up time, and report defective material or equipment.
- Ensure a safe and productive work place through actively participating in safety meetings, team meetings, and promotion of lean initiatives.
- Communicate-train and work with warehouseperson and warehouseperson trainee to help maximize their knowledge in production.
- Help other operators at other machines to help increase process flow or by assisting them in performing quality checks in all areas.
