About The Position

The Machine Operator operates machinery in the Corn / Flour department to maintain continuous product flow through the production process and ensure the correct ingredients and supplies are used on the line. The role involves monitoring and adjusting machine settings, maintaining log sheets, and promptly notifying a supervisor or lead of issues or maintenance needs. Team members are responsible for workplace safety and must follow Tyson policies and procedures. The position is based in Sanford, North Carolina, with second- and third-shift schedules listed.

Requirements

Responsibilities

Operate machines in the Corn / Flour department to maintain product flow.
Monitor machine operation and make necessary adjustments.
Ensure proper ingredients and supplies are used on the line.
Promptly report machine issues or maintenance needs to a supervisor or lead.
Maintain required log sheets.
Document and calculate results accurately.
Take corrective action when necessary, including alerting appropriate personnel and identifying, segregating, and isolating non-conforming product.
Report results to management.
Maintain a safe work environment and follow Tyson policies and procedures.
Perform additional assignments as requested.
Perform physical and visual inspections of product and plant systems.
