Machine Operator 2nd Shift (2pm to 10pm)
About The Position
The Machine Operator position is a full-time role in the Production Department, operating on the 2nd shift from 2pm to 10pm. The role involves setting up and operating machines according to production specifications, monitoring and adjusting machine settings for quality and consistency, and performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting. The position requires adherence to all safety, conduct, and attendance rules, as well as meeting production goals by following assigned work schedules and sequences. Accurate data entry into production systems, inspection of materials and equipment for defects, and monitoring indicators to ensure standards are met are also key duties. The operator must consistently follow specifications, job orders, and company policies, and maintain a work area compliant with safety and sanitation regulations.
Requirements
- High school graduate with minimum of 1 yr direct industrial experience is preferred.
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to efficiently multi-task.
- Must be a team-player.
- Must be self-motivated.
- Must be detail oriented.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate machines according to production specifications.
- Monitor and adjust machine settings to ensure product quality and consistency.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot any issues with the machinery.
- Follow all safety, conduct and attendance rules.
- Follow assigned work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet production goals.
- Accurately enter information into production systems.
- Inspect materials, products, and/or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions.
- Monitor gauges, dials, and other indicators to ensure that operations conform to production or processing standards.
- Consistently follow specifications, job orders, and company policies and procedures.
- Ensure your work area is in compliance with safety and sanitation regulations.
