About The Position

BOSS Snowplow, a division of The Toro Company, is hiring a Machine Operator in Iron Mountain, Michigan. The role operates machines to process steel plate, sheet, and structural shapes, as well as copper bus. The operator also performs machine maintenance and cleaning, and completes inspections according to the company’s Quality System. The starting wage is $19.91 per hour plus a $1.00 shift differential, for a total of $20.91 per hour. The scheduled hours are Monday through Friday, 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.; overtime may cause hours to vary.

Requirements

• Must be able to read blueprints.
• Must be able to use measuring tools and devices.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Nice To Haves

• Vocational training or previous experience in a machine operating setting is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Shear, saw, laser cut, plasma cut, bend, roll, drill, tap, punch, cope, wire brush, de-burr, and grind steel plate, sheet, and structural shapes as required.
• Form, cut, bend, punch, and drill copper bus as required.
• Perform scheduled maintenance and cleaning on each machine as required.
• Perform first-article and other piece-part inspections as required by the Quality System.
