About The Position

BOSS Snowplow, a division of The Toro Company, is hiring a Machine Operator in Iron Mountain, Michigan. The role involves processing steel plate, sheet, and structural shapes, as well as copper bus, using a range of machine operations. The operator also performs scheduled machine maintenance and cleaning and completes inspections as required by the Quality System.

The regular shift is Monday through Friday, 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Overtime may cause shift days or times to vary. Starting pay is $19.91 per hour, plus a $1.00 shift differential, for a total of $20.91 per hour.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to read blueprints.
• Ability to use measuring tools and devices.

Nice To Haves

• Vocational training or previous experience in a machine operating setting.

Responsibilities

• Shear, saw, laser cut, plasma cut, bend, roll, drill, tap, punch, cope, wire brush, deburr, and grind steel plate, sheet, and structural shapes as required.
• Form, cut, bend, punch, and drill copper bus as required.
• Perform scheduled maintenance and cleaning on each machine as required.
• Perform first-article and other piece-part inspections as required by the Quality System.
