About The Position

Prepare and pack high quality cuts of meats according to customer specifications using company standards and adhering to all safety requirements. Majority of time will be spent operating processing equipment. This is a 1st shift position, Monday - Friday 6:00 am - 2:30 pm, with potential for overtime.

Requirements

Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
Ability to work continually in a refrigerated environment 35°F- 45°F.
Ability to lift 11-20 lbs frequently, 21-50 lbs frequently, and 51-100 lbs occasionally.
Ability to carry 11-20 lbs occasionally, 21-50 lbs frequently, and 51-100 lbs occasionally.
Ability to push/pull frequently.
Ability to climb/balance frequently.
Ability to stoop/squat frequently.
Ability to bend frequently.
Ability to twist frequently.
Ability to grasp objects continuously.
Ability to manipulate objects frequently.
Ability to reach above shoulder occasionally.

Nice To Haves

Experience with CryoVac, MultiVac, Dicers, Needle, Slicer, Portion Cutter, laser portion machinery or other meat production equipment is preferred.
Knowledge of all poultry, beef, lamb, and pork products preferred.
Knowledge of USDA grades and standards.
High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

Operation of Meat Processing Equipment; CryoVac, MultiVacs, Dicers, Needle, Slicer, Portion Cutters, Scales, Pack.
Trim and customize portions of meat products using knives, or other meat production equipment.
Count and stack on tray portions per customer and company specifications.
Label portion with supplied number product labels.
Set up packing and labeling area as required.
Perform end of day functions.
Actively maintain, and merchandise partial cart.
Keep packing area and cutting room and surrounding area clean and sanitized.
Follow company GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) to maintain sanitary conditions.
Other duties as assigned by manager.
