About The Position

The Machine Operator will be responsible for operating various machines to manufacture components, ensuring quality and safety standards are met. This role involves reading blueprints, selecting appropriate tools and machines, and performing routine maintenance.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 5 years + of experience in a manual machine shop or tool room department
  • 5 years + with Lathers, Mill and Grinders
  • Experience manufacturing tooling fixtures
  • Experience reading blueprints and work instructions in English
  • Experience with measuring devices to ensure the quality of the manufactured components
  • Standing- Frequent/Intermittent Up to 8 hours per day.
  • Walking- Occasionally/Intermittent Up to 8 hours per day.
  • Sitting- Occasionally/Intermittent.
  • Lifting- Up to 50 lbs. Occasionally/Intermittent.
  • Carrying up to 50 lbs. Occasionally/Intermittent.
  • Pushing/Pulling-between 50-100 lbs Occasionally/Intermittent.

Responsibilities

  • Review drawings or instructions to understand specifications of output.
  • Plan the sequence of necessary actions for the completion of a job.
  • Take measurements and mark material for cutting or shaping.
  • Select appropriate machines (Lathes, Mill, grinder) and load material.
  • Select tools and cutting conditions.
  • Define and manufacture tooling fixture/JIG required to manufacture the parts.
  • Check output to ensure consistency.
  • Perform routine machine maintenance and repair minor damages.
  • Operate the machines safely.
