About The Position

This role involves preparing and packing high-quality cuts of meat according to customer specifications, adhering to company standards and safety requirements. The majority of the time will be spent operating processing equipment. The schedule is Monday - Friday, 6:00 am - 2:30 pm, with potential for overtime. This position is located at the Stock Yards Facility.

Requirements

• Ability to work continually in a refrigerated environment (35°F-45°F).
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
• Ability to perform tasks requiring standing continuously.
• Ability to lift 11-20 lbs (Light) frequently.
• Ability to lift 21-50 lbs (Medium) frequently.
• Ability to lift 51-100 lbs (Heavy) occasionally.
• Ability to carry 21-50 lbs (Medium) frequently.
• Ability to carry 51-100 lbs (Heavy) occasionally.
• Ability to push/pull frequently.
• Ability to climb/balance frequently.
• Ability to stoop/squat frequently.

• Ability to manipulate objects frequently.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with CryoVac, MultiVac, Dicers, Needle, Slicer, Portion Cutter, laser portion machinery or other meat production equipment.
• Knowledge of all poultry, beef, lamb, and pork products.
• Knowledge of USDA grades and standards.

Responsibilities

• Operation of Meat Processing Equipment; CryoVac, MultiVacs, Dicers, Needle, Slicer, Portion Cutters, Scales
• Pack and trim meat products using knives or other meat production equipment.
• Customize portions of meat products.
• Count and stack portions on trays per customer and company specifications.
• Label portion with supplied product labels.
• Set up packing and labeling area as required.
• Perform end of day functions.
• Actively maintain and merchandise partial cart.
• Keep packing area, cutting room, and surrounding area clean and sanitized.
• Follow company GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) to maintain sanitary conditions.
• Other duties as assigned by manager.
