Requirements

• Some completion of secondary school or equivalent
• Possess drive and motivation to learn continuously on the job
• Ability to work mainly independently and in a team setting requiring cooperation
• Ability to interact with co-workers and supervisors to exchange information about tasks and to coordinate work
• Partake in training related to the Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS), use of cleaning products and equipment

Responsibilities

• Load and unload parts and materials for production within required cycle/Takt times
• Operate a crane to load and unload parts
• Operate tugger or lift tow
• Pack and sort raw materials or finished products
• Assist in the preparation and transportation of material to various production areas
• Assist in meeting production goals while maintaining safety and quality standards
• Assist in the cleanliness of the work area
• Follow priorities set by supervisors and sequence tasks within a set framework
• Work on tasks that are generally repetitive
• Perform other duties and projects as assigned
• Ensure compliance with all legislative requirements in the facility’s geographic location and ISO 14001: Environmental Management system standards, ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety
• Perform safe work procedures with proper PPE and follow health and safety procedures
• Support and maintain department lean initiatives and workplace organization requirements
