About The Position

The Machine Operator is responsible for ensuring machines are clean, organized, and operating according to standard operating procedures. This role requires basic ice cream knowledge and the ability to understand the 'WHY' behind operations, not just the 'HOW'. The operator must ensure limited water is used during cleaning, practice the 'clean as you go' principle, and correctly use, store, and set up all equipment. Effective handovers with Maintenance and the next shift, reporting all faults and issues, are crucial. The primary goal is to drive the production process to meet customer specifications for product quality and food safety, ensuring targeted outputs are met through effective control of the manufacturing process. Communication with the entire team, maintaining health and safety requirements, and promoting a positive safety culture are essential. The role involves promoting the Froneri culture of employee ownership, adhering to the principle of 'will I do this to my home?', and coordinating the day-to-day efforts of the local work team, including controlling breaks, lunches, and rotations. Other duties as assigned may also be part of this role.
