About The Position

The Machine Operator is responsible for all phases of setting up and operating flexo folder gluer and rotary die cutter machinery, including productivity, quality, and waste. The role leads the crew during training and works with the team to meet daily production goals. The operator also performs quality checks, verifies materials against customer requirements, records production data, and follows established processes, procedures, and safety rules.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience as a machine operator.
• Strong knowledge of machinery troubleshooting.
• At least 6 months of packaging or printing experience with a Flexo Folder Gluer or Rotary Die Cutter.
• Strong safety background.
• Good attendance record.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
• Ability to understand, execute, and provide verbal and written instructions.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Strong computer skills and the ability to accurately complete required computer and paperwork tasks.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor flexo folder gluer and rotary die cutter machines.
• Take responsibility for productivity, quality, and waste.
• Lead the crew in the training process.
• Mount printing and cutting dies to cylinders or shafts.
• Mix and adjust ink viscosity.
• Perform quality checks on each order.
• Verify materials against customer requirements before production.
• Work with the team to meet daily goals.
• Accurately record production data in a computer each day.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance and housekeeping.
• Follow established processes, procedures, safety rules, and regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
