About The Position

This role is responsible for operating various machines in a manufacturing environment, ensuring the quality and accuracy of the products. The Machine Operator will perform routine maintenance, quality checks, and packaging of finished goods, while maintaining a clean and organized workspace. The position requires attention to detail, teamwork, and the ability to follow instructions to meet production needs.

  • Adjust body position while performing tasks

Responsibilities

  • Operates welding machines
  • Operates resistance welders
  • Operates rollers
  • Operates presses
  • Operates high pressure testers
  • Sets stops or guides to specified length as indicated by scale, rule, or template
  • Positions work piece against stops or guides
  • Pushes button or depresses pedal to activate machine
  • Observes machine operation to detect work piece defects or machine malfunction
  • Measures work piece dimensions to determine accuracy of machine operation
  • Performs minor machine maintenance such as oiling machines, dies, or work pieces
  • Uses air drills and wire brushes to clean final product
  • Packages final product
  • Performs housekeeping tasks keeping work areas clean
  • Additional duties may be assigned or removed, as business needs dictate
