Machine Operator (Food Manufacturing) – 1st & 2nd Shift

About The Position

Sandridge Crafted Foods is seeking dependable, mechanically inclined Machine Operators to join its Manufacturing team. Operators produce soups, salads, dips, and ready-to-eat foods by operating, monitoring, and troubleshooting production equipment while meeting quality and food-safety standards. Training is provided, including opportunities to learn multiple machines and become cross-trained. First- and second-shift positions are available; shift premiums may apply to eligible positions.

Requirements

Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
Strong attention to detail.
Reliable attendance and a positive attitude.
Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
Basic computer and communication skills.
Flexibility to work overtime when production demands require it.
Ability to stand and walk for 8–12 hour shifts; frequently bend, squat, reach, push, and pull; lift up to 65 pounds; and work in refrigerated food-production environments.
Ability to safely operate industrial food-processing equipment.

Manufacturing or machine-operating experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Set up, operate, and monitor food processing and packaging equipment.
Learn to safely operate multiple production machines and become cross-trained across the work area.
Follow recipes, production instructions, and operating procedures.
Monitor product quality, weights, temperatures, labels, and production specifications.
Perform equipment changeovers, minor adjustments, and basic troubleshooting.
Complete production paperwork, quality checks, and HACCP documentation.
Clean and sanitize equipment between production runs.
Identify product or equipment issues and communicate them to Production, Quality, and Maintenance teams.
Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), food-safety requirements, and workplace-safety procedures.
Work as part of a team to safely meet daily production goals.
