About The Position

Amcor is seeking a Machine Operator to provide continuous machine support by monitoring secondary equipment for uptime, efficiency, and safety. The role involves resolving machine-related problems, performing basic preventative maintenance, and managing material changeovers. This position requires adherence to all company policies, including ISO/BRC Standards, Health and Safety Requirements, Continuous Improvement, and standard work procedures. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Regularly required to stand and walk. On occasion, the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
  • Standing/ walking for long periods of time

Nice To Haves

  • 1 year of experience in manufacturing or injection molding, preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provides continuous machine support by continuously monitoring secondary equipment for uptime efficiency and equipment safety.
  • Understands Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE) impact to effectively communicate to Shift Leader repetitive breakdowns.
  • Resolves ongoing machine related problems (full bowls, closing machine restarts, grinder jams and color changes, purge removal from nozzle leaks).
  • Performs beginner-level preventative maintenance tasks (reparing coveryor, material jam, cleaning filters).
  • Performs material changeovers (ie, color changes, additives, etc.)
  • Supply materials to the presses.
  • Restarts Injection Machines for mold protects, intermediate troubleshooting skills.
  • Assess beyond mold protect for root cause.
  • Fix minor cosmetic issues (burns, string flash).
  • Maintains proper documentation for all materials and machines.
  • Supports and maintains all policies of the company including but not limited to ISO/BRC Standards, Health and Safety Requirements, Continuous Improvement, and standard work procedures.
