About The Position

The Machine Operator is responsible for obtaining work instructions from a supervisor and preparing work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists. This role involves gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials, and then positioning and assembling components by examining connections for correct fit and fastening parts. The operator will verify specifications by measuring completed components, resolve assembly problems, and maintain equipment by performing preventive maintenance and troubleshooting malfunctions. Additionally, the role requires maintaining a safe and clean working environment, managing supplies inventory, conserving resources, and documenting actions. The Machine Operator also contributes to team efforts, assists with warehouse housekeeping, detects faulty operations, and follows all company safety policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Obtain work instructions from supervisor.

  • Position parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements.
  • Assemble components by examining connections for correct fit and fastening parts and subassemblies.
  • Verify specifications by measuring completed components.
  • Resolve assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications and notifying supervisor for additional resources.
  • Keep equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements, following manufacturer's instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions, and calling for repairs.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Maintain supplies inventory by checking stock, anticipating needed supplies, placing and expediting orders, and verifying receipt of supplies.
  • Conserve resources by using equipment and supplies as needed.
  • Document actions by completing production and quality forms.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Help maintain the housekeeping of all Koch Filter location warehouses and building grounds.
  • Detect faulty operation of equipment, incorrect orders, damaged items, shortages, and refer questionable situations to the supervisor.
  • Know and follow all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Maintain warehouse housekeeping and 5S.
  • Perform other comparable related duties as instructed by management.
  • Participate in all HPT functions.
