About The Position

Operates a mold machine process to produce quality parts at the productivity rate and in accordance with customer specifications, using Hubbell Power Systems Quality Operating Principles and the most current Quality System. The operator sets machine controls to regulate molding temperature, plastic volume, molding pressure, and molding time according to knowledge of plastics and molding procedures. The role also requires safe work practices, housekeeping, and maintaining required production throughput.

Requirements

• Ability to follow instructions.
• Ability to work in a group environment and ask for help when needed.
• Ability to work independently and complete assignments within the parameters of instructions, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Set machine controls to regulate molding temperature, plastic volume, molding pressure, and molding time according to plastics knowledge and molding procedures.
• Follow company safety and break policies, work safely, follow directions, and wear company-issued Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Immediately report unsafe activity or accidents to the area Supervisor.
• Keep the work area clean and follow good housekeeping practices.
• Work efficiently while maintaining part shift throughput quantity requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
