About The Position

This position is responsible for operating machinery to maintain the continuous flow of product through the production process and ensuring the proper ingredients and supplies are used on the line. The operator monitors and adjusts machine settings as needed and notifies the supervisor if a machine requires maintenance. The role also requires maintaining a safe work environment and following Tyson policies and procedures. Candidates must be proficient in reading and writing, able to complete on-the-job paperwork, and able to communicate effectively across all management levels. Applicants must be current team members at this facility or complex. Team members seeking to transfer from another Tyson facility should express interest through their local HR Partner. Internal application requirements include being in the current position for 90 days, having no suspensions or more than three written warnings in the past year, and having fewer than four attendance points at the time of application. A team member who withdraws an application or declines a position once will be restricted from applying to additional positions for six months.

Requirements

Proficiency in reading and writing.
Ability to complete on-the-job paperwork and communicate effectively across all management levels.
Willingness and ability to perform the physical requirements of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, including lifting up to 50 pounds; standing, walking, bending, squatting, stretching, climbing, pushing, pulling, and reaching; standing 8–10 hours on hard floors; and performing repetitive motions.
Ability to work in a cold, damp environment and on slippery walking surfaces.
For internal applicants: must have been in the current position for 90 days; must have no suspensions or more than three written warnings within the past year; and must have fewer than four attendance points at the time of application.
Position is slated for team members currently working at this facility or complex; transfers from another Tyson facility should express interest through their local HR Partner.
