About The Position
Catania Oils, a fourth-generation, family-owned edible oils business, is hiring a Machine Operator in Ayer, Massachusetts. The role works across first and second shifts. The operator runs and changes over production line equipment, monitors production and equipment effectiveness, performs quality checks, documents work, and maintains a clean and safe work area. Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of manufacturing experience; food industry experience is a plus.
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and multitasking skills.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
- English fluency, written and verbal.
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of HACCP, SQF, and GMPs.
- Food industry manufacturing experience.
Responsibilities
- Operate and change over production line equipment, including fillers, cappers, labelers, case packers, and palletizers.
- Read work orders and verify supplies such as bottles, caps, and labels.
- Monitor production rates and equipment effectiveness (OEE).
- Perform quality checks and maintain accurate documentation.
- Keep the work area clean and safe throughout the shift.
