Machine Operator 1st Shift
About The Position
Catania Oils is seeking a Machine Operator to join its first-shift team at its Ayer, Massachusetts operations facility. The role involves operating and changing over production-line equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, monitoring production and equipment effectiveness, performing quality checks, and maintaining accurate documentation. The operator is expected to keep the work area clean and safe throughout the shift. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 6:50 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The stated rate is $22.00 per hour. Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of manufacturing experience.
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and multitasking skills.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- English fluency, written and verbal.
Nice To Haves
- Food industry experience.
- Knowledge of HACCP, SQF, and GMPs.
Responsibilities
- Operate and change over production-line equipment, including fillers, cappers, labelers, case packers, and palletizers.
- Read work orders and verify supplies such as bottles, caps, and labels.
- Monitor production rates and equipment effectiveness (OEE).
- Perform quality checks and maintain accurate documentation.
- Keep the work area clean and safe throughout the shift.
