About The Position

This role is responsible for keeping production lines running reliably by operating various machines and automated work cells. The Machine Operator will also perform packing line changes, troubleshoot equipment, document production data, handle materials, and follow all safety and operational policies. This position offers a 12-hour rotating day shift and the opportunity to contribute to the production of high-quality life science products.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or trade school degree (GED).
  • Approximately 3-4 years of related experience and/or training.
  • Experience working in a production or manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with automated equipment or packaging lines is ideal.
  • Practical mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Comfortable using HMIs and basic production IT systems.
  • Focus on safety, quality, and documentation.
  • Team-oriented mindset with clear communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Operate different machines and automated work cells, managing more than one at a time when needed.
  • Perform packing line changes and troubleshoot shrink wrap machines, label printers, and basic machine/automation alarms using HMI controllers.
  • Apply troubleshooting techniques to find and correct production or automation issues.
  • Accurately document and enter production data into the production monitoring system (Hydra).
  • Carry out routine quality inspections to identify defects or imperfections.
  • Handle materials, including getting and loading supplies with a pallet jack or other power equipment.
  • Support other production tasks within skill set, including during staffing shortages.
  • Follow all policies and protocols (documentation, safety, cleaning and gowning).
  • Clearly communicate production results or issues to Work Cell Technicians or supervisor.
