•$19 - $21

About The Position

Johanson Technology Inc. is hiring Machine Operators for second shift. The selected candidate will set up and operate manufacturing machines. The available roles include Stacking Operator, Termination Dipper/Termination Operator, and Screen Printing Operator. Hourly pay depends on the position and experience; a second-shift differential of $0.75 is offered. Stacking Operators upload the program specified on the traveler and stack sheets of dielectric material. They read travelers to verify the build-up design and dielectric type, locate program files, record data in SPC Data Entry, and inspect stacked bars through a microscope. Termination Dippers and Termination Operators apply end-bands to chip capacitors and are responsible for setup quality and machine ink management. They select the correct program for part size, load chips onto a plate, press the chips into the plate, dip it in termination ink, place it in a drying oven, and load and unload the oven. Training is scheduled from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for up to four weeks; the regular work schedule is 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. Screen Printing Operators are responsible for print quality. They read travelers to ensure correct ink, screens, dielectric type, tape, and tape thickness; configure and orient tooling by aligning multiple screens; conduct multiple tests for first-article inspection before starting lots; and work with chemicals used for screen cleaning. The job is performed in a manufacturing/production environment with exposure to chemicals. The role occasionally requires protective equipment such as gloves and eyewear and often uses standard office equipment such as computers and photocopiers. Physical demands include microscope use for 25% of the shift; standing or walking for 80% and sitting for 20%; twisting the neck and waist for 10%; reaching above the shoulder and simple hand grasping for up to 20%; stooping, squatting, and bending for 30%; and lifting, pushing, pulling, and/or moving up to 50 pounds for 10% of the shift. Employees may occasionally work in a fast-paced environment and are expected to follow procedures and schedules and interact with coworkers to complete tasks.
