About The Position

Gerson is seeking hard-working machine operators to set up and operate production lines using a variety of process equipment. Operators lead a team and produce products including respirators, filters, chemical cartridges, and related materials. The schedule is Monday through Thursday, with night shift options of 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. and/or 4 p.m. to 2 a.m. Night shift work receives an additional $3 per hour shift differential. The position requires continual standing, physical flexibility, and lifting up to 50 pounds.

Requirements

Mechanical ability.
Prior experience running a production line.
Attention to detail.
Ability to work well with others.
Ability to read, write, and understand English.
Ability to work overtime as necessary.
Continual standing, physical flexibility, and ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate production lines in accordance with work instructions.
Perform quality inspections on finished goods.
Adjust equipment to ensure defect-free output.
Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
Communicate with the Supervisor, Maintenance, and Planning to raise and resolve problems quickly.
Follow established policies, rules, and regulations, including lock-out/tag-out procedures and safe machine practices.
Package finished goods.
Complete quality paperwork.
