About The Position

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Machine Operator to join our food production team. The Machine Operator is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining food processing and packaging equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production. The incumbent shall be mainly responsible for machine set-up, calibration, pre-op checks and troubleshooting for daily production runs.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1-2 years of experience in Warehouse or Production environment
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Positive attitude and team player
• A high degree of flexibility and willingness to work overtime as required, including evenings and weekends
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs repetitively/ability to stand for long periods of time during the workday

Nice To Haves

• Food industry experience an asset

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-op checks and set up machines for daily production
• Conduct minor trouble shooting if required to ensure that the machine is running
• Promptly report any major issues/ problems observed with the
• Ensure that correct packaging and traceability coding are being used and that all special instructions on the Daily Production Schedule are being followed.
• Handle machine with care and take required steps to ensure that it is running efficiently at all times.
• Perform general housekeeping in work area at the end of each production
• Adhering to company Health and Safety policies and
• Other duties and projects as assigned by the Production Manager/Coordinator.
