About The Position

Set up and operate fabricating machines according to designs and specifications. This position is located in Tea, SD. Available shifts are day shift, 6:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m., and evening shift, 4:30 p.m.–3:00 a.m.

Requirements

• Ability to safely use basic hand tools, power tools, tape measure, grinders, and saws.
• Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and fractions.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions.
• Ability to review designs and drawings (blueprints).
• Strong attention to detail in measurements and design specifics.
• Good judgment and ability to work with others and perform other tasks as assigned.
• Previous work with structural steel and sheet metal.
• Experience operating a forklift.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret drawings and cut lists.
• Set up and operate fabricating machines, including laser, punch press, brake press, shears, flame cutters, and saws.
• Read tape measures and calipers.
• Record and monitor material usage.
• Follow established quality guidelines.
• Follow established safety guidelines.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
