About The Position

Tremco Construction Products Group is hiring a Machine Operator to start, troubleshoot, and safely operate manufacturing equipment. The company has three Machine Operator levels (I, II, and III); the level is determined by experience, ability to take on different plant-floor roles, and demonstrated ability to independently troubleshoot and solve machine problems to support efficient cycles and minimize downtime.

The position follows standard work and safety procedures, maintains product quality and production output, and may include cross-training and operation of secondary equipment as business needs dictate. No formal education, prior experience, or training is required.

Requirements

• Ability to function effectively in a team setting.
• Ability to multitask while maintaining attention to detail.
• Reliability, flexibility, and dependability.
• Ability to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach, climb, balance, kneel, talk, hear, taste, smell, and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Follow written and verbal safety rules and procedures.
• Operate and maintain assigned machines according to standard work procedures.
• Meet or exceed production output standards.
• Ensure products meet required tolerances and specifications.
• Perform routine inspections in accordance with quality standards.
• Understand production instructions and maintain accurate paperwork.
• Package, label, and store products.
• Cross-train on other production functions as business needs require.
• Clean and maintain the assigned area to ensure proper functionality.
• Report and assist in resolving safety, quality, and mechanical issues.
• Participate in continuous improvement.
• When appropriate, set up and operate off-line and secondary equipment.
