About The Position

The Machine Operator is responsible for setting up and operating one or more centerless grinding machines to grind external cylindrical or tapered surfaces of rotating metal, aluminum, or plastic workpieces to blueprint specifications. The role involves following instructions and applying knowledge of grinding procedures, reading blueprints and job orders, and setting up, testing, and operating grinding machines. The position emphasizes timely production of quality parts, accurate inspection and measurement, problem-solving, continuous improvement, and completing paperwork. Requirements

• Vocational education or an apprenticeship in an industrial environment.
• Prior manufacturing work experience.
• Experience using a manual micrometer.
• Basic math and mechanical aptitude.
• High standards of dependability, quality, and service.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and job orders to understand product specifications.
