Machine Operator (Second Shift)
About The Position
We have an exciting opportunity to join a fun, employee-focused environment with a growing manufacturing company. The Centerless Grinder will be responsible for setting up and operating one or more centerless grinding machines to grind external cylindrical or tapered surfaces of rotating metal, aluminum, plastic workpieces to blueprint specifications, following instructions and applying knowledge of grinding procedures. Responsibilities range from reading blueprints and job orders for product specifications to setting up, testing and operating grinding machines. Requirements
- A vocational education or apprenticeship in an industrial environment
- Prior manufacturing work experience
- Experience using a manual micrometer
- Obtains basic math and mechanical aptitudes
- High standards of dependability, quality and service

Responsibilities
- Setting up and operating one or more centerless grinding machines

- Reading blueprints and job orders for product specifications
- Setting up, testing and operating grinding machines
- Manufacturing quality parts in a timely manner
- Inspecting and measuring to ensure quality and completeness
- Identifying and reporting on problems
- Looking for solutions and seeking continuous improvements in procedures
- Accurately completing paperwork
