About The Position

Cornerstone Building Brands is hiring a Machine Operator for its trim department in Elizabethton, Tennessee. The role involves operating machinery in a production environment and calls for knowledge of production techniques, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety. This is a permanent, full-time, direct-hire position. The stated shift is 5:00 p.m. to 1:30 a.m.; overtime is anticipated and opportunities for overtime are available. Starting pay is $18.00 per hour, with potential increases based on experience and skill, plus a $1.50 shift differential.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• At least one year of related work experience in manufacturing or a comparable work environment.
• Comfort and familiarity with power hand tools.
• General mathematical knowledge and proficiency with basic measuring instruments.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and effectively meet deadlines.
• Must be at least 18 years of age to apply.

Nice To Haves

• Experience operating a forklift and/or overhead crane.

Responsibilities

• Read and comprehend policy manuals, safety rules and programs, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and simple correspondence.
