About The Position

This position operates various machines in assigned area(s) at Hickory Chair in Hickory, North Carolina. The role requires following all safety policies and procedures and performing other duties as assigned. The work involves standing and moving throughout an eight-hour period, working in noisy environments, and lifting or carrying objects.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to read a route sheet.
• Previous machine operation experience preferred.
• Ability to walk, stand, climb, stoop, twist, push, pull, and bend over the course of eight hours.
• Ability to work in noisy environments.
• Ability to frequently lift or carry objects up to 50 pounds, and up to 100 pounds with assistance.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED.
• Previous machine operation experience.

Responsibilities

• Operate a variety of machines, including bandsaw, hand shaper, table saw, pin router, bell miter, variety saw, and bore and teton machines.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
