About The Position

The Hone Technician / Machine Operator is an entry-level, hands-on role in a shop environment focused on hydraulic cylinder repair and remanufacturing. Hydraulic experience is not required; the company is willing to train a dependable candidate who is interested in mechanical work and learning how equipment works. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, in Puyallup, Washington, with pay of $21.00–$23.00 per hour depending on experience.

The role helps disassemble, inspect, clean, and prepare hydraulic cylinder components for repair; operates honing equipment and other shop machinery; uses hand, power, and precision measuring tools; and assists with documenting parts and repair information. The position also involves safely rigging and moving large cylinder parts, maintaining an organized and safe work area, following safety and PPE procedures, and performing other shop duties as needed. Forklift operation is permitted after completing company-provided training.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic mechanical skills or an interest in mechanical work.
• Comfort using hand and power tools.
• Willingness to learn and be trained.
• Dependability and ability to work as part of a team.
• Good attention to detail.
• Ability to follow instructions and work safely.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, verbally and in writing.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and climb a ladder as needed.
