About The Position

Primary Duties and Responsibilities (Daily Duties) Sets up and adjusts cutting machines for scheduled orders Safe and efficient operation of the production process, including start-up, adjustment of cutting presses to proper parameters involving close tolerances Maintenance, troubleshooting, and cleaning of the equipment Provide training and assistance to lesser-skilled personnel. Notifies supervisor of any significant incidents/delays/equipment malfunction/ poor quality raw material. Strips/loads roll onto the machine using a forklift/clamp truck. Determines die layout to ensure minimum waste of paper. Inspects and measures products for conformance to specifications. May train in other areas to provide coverage Other duties as assigned/required. Minimum Competencies Typically possess 2-3 years of relevant work experience. Strong communications skills Ability to complete training, pass the forklift certification test, and demonstrate the ability to operate a forklift. Experience in setting up mechanical equipment required. Requirements

  • Typically possess 2-3 years of relevant work experience.
  • Strong communications skills
  • Ability to complete training, pass the forklift certification test, and demonstrate the ability to operate a forklift.
  • Experience in setting up mechanical equipment required.
  • Ability to read and use a ruler/scale
  • Ability to operate machinery in a standing position for an entire shift
  • Constant reaching, bending, turning.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 60 pounds frequently.
  • Ability to push up to 100 lbs. and pull up to 75 lbs. frequently.
