About The Position

The Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, adjusting, and maintaining related equipment. This role has primary responsibility for the production and quality of assigned equipment. The operator will also conduct preventative and general repairs to equipment, requiring knowledge of mechanical and/or electrical principles. Additionally, the position requires practicing effective safety, quality control, and housekeeping procedures. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Requirements

• Ability to understand and accurately follow Standard Operating Procedures.
• Ability to plan and direct the operations of the related equipment.
• Ability to use manufacturer's tools or related hand tools effectively in performing maintenance and changeovers.
• Related mechanical experience or equivalent training.
• Familiarity with the metric system of measurement.
• Ability to stand, walk and use hands to finger, hands or feet.
• Ability to reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
• Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and ability to analyze color.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to wear safety glasses, ear plugs and PPE.

• Practice effective safety, quality control, and housekeeping procedures.
