About The Position

Volt is immediately hiring a Machine Operator in Stafford Springs, Connecticut. This is a full-time temp-to-perm opportunity. The operator runs and monitors production machinery, prepares equipment and materials, checks product quality, and follows safety and production requirements. The role involves extended periods of standing and repetitive tasks in a fast-paced production environment. A background check and drug test are required.

Requirements

Previous machine operation, manufacturing, production, or warehouse experience.
Ability to read and follow work instructions, production schedules, and safety guidelines.
Strong attention to detail and ability to identify quality concerns or equipment issues.
Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn machine setup and troubleshooting processes.
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks in a fast-paced production environment.
Reliable attendance, punctuality, and commitment to meeting production expectations.
Good communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
High school diploma or GED.
Successful completion of a background check and drug test.

Responsibilities

Operate, monitor, and adjust machinery to support daily production goals.
Set up equipment, load materials, and verify machine settings before and during production runs.
Inspect finished products and parts to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
Identify machine issues, perform basic troubleshooting, and report maintenance needs to the appropriate team member.
Follow safety procedures, work instructions, and company policies while operating equipment.
Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of safety hazards.
