About The Position

Machine Operator (1st Shift 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM) – Shape Your Skills. Shape Your Future. At Duraco Specialty Materials, our Machine Operators help create the adhesive‑coated materials our customers rely on every day. You’ll work with coating machines that apply pressure‑sensitive adhesive to paper, film, and foil—learning a unique skill set you can grow over time. Your day will involve setting up the adhesive coating machine, running production, checking materials, and keeping everything operating smoothly. You’ll adjust machine controls, monitor temperatures and speed, take test samples, and make sure each coated roll meets our quality standards. You’ll also work closely with teammates, communicate when something looks off, and help keep a safe, organized workspace. You don’t need years of experience—just mechanical aptitude, a strong work ethic, and the willingness to learn. Requirements

  • Mechanical aptitude and comfort with hands‑on, physical work around production equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to read work instructions, measurements, and follow safety procedures.
  • A team‑oriented mindset, good communication skills, and a willingness to learn new processes and equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate coating machines, including adjusting machine speeds, adhesive flow, and drying temperatures to meet product specifications.
  • Prepare and inspect materials, load rolls onto the machine, measure and check coated materials, and take test samples for quality approval.
  • Support smooth production, including troubleshooting minor issues, completing machine reports, entering production data, and maintaining a clean, safe work area.
