About The Position

Cardinal Systems Inc. is a leading manufacturer of galvanized steel walls for in-ground swimming pools, as well as steel steps and benches, aluminum coping, liner track, deck drains, liner bead, and other custom fabrications. As a Machine Operator, you will be an integral part of our organization, learning to bend, cut, and notch swimming pool panels to custom design specifications. Quality control is a shared responsibility, ensuring the production of high-quality products.

Requirements

High school Diploma or equivalent (GED)
Ability to speak, read, and write English proficiently
Proficient math skills required
Ability to use hand and power tools
Will be required to climb, lift, squat, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
Ability to lift 50 lbs. independently

Nice To Haves

Previous manufacturing experience preferred
Previous forklift operation experience preferred

Responsibilities

Develop an understanding of product knowledge to perform quality checks on parts
Learn how to knowledgeably read prints/documents
Gain understanding of the process and flow of the department
Monitor and review existing standards, making or implementing suggestions that will further improve efficiency
Maintain a level of quality that meets or exceeds the company standard
Learn how to complete production and quality data sheets with accuracy
Gain knowledge to operate two work centers
Basic understanding of process and flow of the department
Learn how to start up, shut down, and run assigned manufacturing processing equipment
Operate machines at a rate which will meet scheduled production requirements while maintaining safety and quality standards
Learn how to perform machine adjustments & setup
Understanding of company's work instructions, production standards, safety procedures, quality standards, and SOP's
