About The Position

The primary function of this position is to operate and adjust a roll form machine to produce steel garage door skins according to customer specifications. This role involves setting up the machine for various production runs, monitoring performance throughout the process, and ensuring materials are formed, stamped, and cut to the correct dimensions and design. The operator is responsible for maintaining product quality by performing measurements and inspections, making necessary adjustments, and identifying any issues with materials or equipment. Attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and a focus on quality and efficiency are essential for success in this position.

Responsibilities

  • Setup and adjust roll form machine for different production runs based on specifications.
  • Monitor the operation of the machine to ensure proper material feed and smooth production flow.
  • Inspect and measure finished product to ensure quality. Address any defects or discrepancies by adjusting machine settings.
  • Perform routine inspections of machines and equipment to ensure proper function. Recommend and perform minor repairs as needed.
  • Perform PM on the machines daily.
  • Loading finished product onto racks for other departments.
  • Occasional forklift operation.
  • Work with other departments as necessary to ensure high quality and efficient production.
  • Track production data and record progress, issues or downtime.
  • Follow all safety protocols.
