About The Position

The Trim Press Operator performs machine set-up and inspects forged parts. They make necessary adjustments to the set-ups. This role requires maintaining a safe work environment, visually and tactilely inspecting forged parts and work pieces for excess metal, and performing tooling set-up as required for specified parts. The operator will mount parts and work pieces in a holding fixture or hand hold to secure them, remove defects with air-powered deburring tools, and maintain accurate part and/or work piece counts. Ensuring quality and production requirements are met, as per job-specific travelers, is crucial. The role involves participating in total quality management projects, LEAN manufacturing, and SPC activities for continuous improvement. Adherence to APP’s policies and procedures, including code of conduct, ethics, product safety, employee safety, and cultural beliefs, is mandatory. The operator must also ensure adherence to all process specifications and support plant quality, system goals, improvements, and productivity goals within the scope of the job. Additional duties may be assigned by APP leadership.

Requirements

  • In compliance with ITAR regulations, must be a US Citizen or US Person (U.S. Person = a natural person who is a lawful permanent resident as defined in 8 U.S.C. 1101(a)(20) or who is a protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)).

Responsibilities
