About The Position

Seaway Printing is a world-class producer of specialty printed and bound products based in De Pere, Wisconsin. We specialize in producing publications, magazines, books, booklets, journals, and manuals. We offer a competitive benefits package, on-the-job training, and a modern, climate-controlled workspace. This role involves performing machine setup, troubleshooting, and operation with an emphasis on productivity, quality, safety, and good housekeeping. The work hours are 1st Shift, Monday to Friday, 6 am to 2 pm, including every other Saturday.

Requirements

  • Ability to do basic troubleshooting when a piece of equipment or machinery is not functioning
  • Interpret and follow directions with precision
  • Basic computer skills for job detail input and machine operation
  • Excellent collaborative skills
  • Frequently required to talk or hear
  • Constantly required to stand; walk; and use hands to handle, feel or touch
  • Occasionally required to sit; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; use foot/feet to operate equipment
  • Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
  • Constantly lift to 10 pounds
  • Constantly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds
  • Occasionally move pallets of material with pallet mover

Nice To Haves

  • Manufacturing environment experience preferred
  • Prior bindery experience preferred
  • 3+ months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred

Responsibilities

  • Set up, make ready, and operate equipment
  • Perform quality checks and stack finished product
  • Record production data with accuracy
  • Troubleshoot and perform minor mechanical maintenance
  • Identify operational improvements as needed
  • Run equipment at optimal level at all times to meet daily production goals (OEE and OTD)
  • Maintain work area and tools
  • Adhere to work quality standards, standard of work, and safety standards
