About The Position
Sumitomo Electric Carbide, Inc. is seeking a Coating Operator to join their growing team. The Coating Operator will be responsible for operating and setting up one or more PVD coating machines to perform machine operations on highly repetitive and standardized parts. This role also involves maintaining coating department machinery and mechanical equipment in good repair with technical guidance, adhering to company standards, and communicating any production problems to the team lead and/or supervisor.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic math, logical reasoning, and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail
- Good communication skills
- Mechanical aptitude (follow work instructions, use basic hand tools)
- Ability to learn the operation of the coating equipment
Responsibilities
- Operate and set up one or more PVD coating machines to perform machine operations on highly repetitive and standardized parts.
- Keep coating department machinery and mechanical equipment in good repair with technical guidance.
- Follow company standards that are currently in place.
- Communicate any production problems with team lead and/or supervisor.
