Requirements

Must meet or exceed company requirements for safety.
Must complete all required mandatory Safety, OSHA, and ISO 9001 training.
Manual dexterity and mechanically inclined.
Basic understanding of computer-based machine controls.
Must have basic manufacturing/quality knowledge and be able to use simple measuring devices.
Able to follow quality plans and work instructions.
Able to use common tools of machine operations.
High school graduate or GED required.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.
Ability to write simple correspondence.
Basic English communication skills (speaking, listening, reading and writing) to be able to communicate and discuss with English speaking internal and external customers. Skill must be at a minimum of a 6th English grade level.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
Ability to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
Deal with problem involving a few concrete variables.

Nice To Haves

Previous manufacturing experience not required but desirable.

Responsibilities

Initiates simple machine cycles/ manufacturing processes.
Reads work instructions to determine job specifications, machine adjustments, and material requirements.
Runs a machine/manufacturing process.
Documents work completed using manufacturing system.
Positions work piece against stops, or aligns layout marks with die or blade.
Pushes button or depresses pedal to activate machine.
Observes machine operation to detect work piece defects or machine malfunction.
Performs minor machine maintenance such as oiling machines, dies, or work pieces per work instructions.
Stacks, marks, packs, and transports finished work pieces.
Recognizes HAZMAT conditions, where necessary.
Ability to work overtime as scheduled.
