About The Position

Cleveland Steel Container is seeking a responsible, customer-oriented Machine Operator / Press Operator for its Streetsboro, Ohio manufacturing facility. The position involves setting up, operating, and maintaining manufacturing machinery in a metal stamping plant that produces component parts for steel pails. The role works with other plant personnel to support efficient plant operations and reports to the Manufacturing Manager.

The schedule is Monday through Friday, 4:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m. Starting pay is $17–$18 per hour, plus a $2 shift premium. The company describes its culture as centered on teamwork, family, honest communication, and producing desirable results.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of manufacturing machine operation experience.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work well as part of a team.
• Experience in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Properly set up and operate the manufacturing machine.
• Complete verification procedures and daily, weekly, and monthly preventive maintenance requirements for the machine.
• Complete housekeeping for the machine and its surrounding area.
• Maintain safety requirements while setting up, operating, and maintaining the equipment.
• Maintain the tools required for machine setup, operation, and maintenance.
• Perform material handling and forklift duties after receiving appropriate training.
• Work with plant personnel to support efficient plant operations.
• Assist the Manufacturing Manager with other duties or responsibilities as required.
